The D2 Extreme, cutting tests prove that D2 is one of the toughest steels used in knife making. It is featured in the classic clip point blade shape that made KA-BAR famous. A partially serrated edge makes cutting looped and synthetic materials a breeze. Tang stamped USA. Oval shaped Kraton G Thermoplastic elastomer handles, powdered metal butt cap and guard. Kraton G polymers are the strongest, most highly dilutive second generation styrenic block copolymers. Intended for use where UV resistance, high service temperature, and processing stability are essential. It is used as a synthetic replacement for rubber. It offers many of the properties of natural rubber, such as flexibility, high traction, and sealing abilities, with increased resistance to heat, weathering, and chemicals.

D2 steel is an air hardening, high-carbon, high chromium tool steel. It has high wear and abrasion resistant properties. Blades are laser cut from sheet stock, heat treated to HRC 59-60, deep frozen to -120 degrees F, double draw tempered, epoxy powder coated blade, buff polished edge, 2" serrated edge.
