Installation instructions for the Japanese Arasaka
Remove the rear sight by pushing the hinge pin out & then remove the sight & spring. The spring is removed by tapping it toward the barrel end. You will have to first remove the wood cover. Slide the special nut into the slot the spring was removed from. The nut is tapered. Insert the small side of the nut from the barrel end of the slot. Place the mount into the rear sight area aligning the two 4-40 screw holes where the pin was removed. Insert the two 4-40 x 3/8 button head screws into the mount & tighten lightly. Insert the 10-32 x 5/8 flat head screw into the mount & tighten. Insert the 10-32 x ½ set screw into the mount & tighten.
