Here's a sophisticated high-powered air rifle that looks like a center fire rifle. It produces 1,000 fps using .177 caliber pellets and you get all of this power with just one cock of the barrel. The 890 has an overall length of 44.3" and weighs 7.5 lbs. It sports Gamo's traditional mirror polished rifled steel barrel with a sleek muzzle break that also doubles as a practical handle for cocking. Sculpted into the walnut-stained hardwood stock is a Monte Carlo comb and cheekpiece. The stock also has laser carved checkering and is hand finished with five coats of lacquer. A two-stage adjustable trigger with its manual safety and automatic anti-beartrap safety are standard. When the gun is being cocked, the anti-beartrap safety keeps the barrel from closing if the trigger is accidentally pulled. The 890 has a thick rubber ventilated butt pad with white spacer. A small steel scope arresting block mounts directly behind the rear scope ring and is used as an added support to insure against scope slippage.
