This scout mount replaces the original rear ramped sights. Long-eye relief scope is recommended. Screw holes at both ends to securely lock mount to weapon. No drilling, tapping or major alteration. Installation instructions for the Finnish M 39 Scout

Remove the rear sight by pushing the hinge pin out and remove the sight and spring. Center the mount over the rear sight area and push the mount down between the standing ears. Install the two 4-40 x 5/16 socket head cap screws in each side at the front of the mount. Put the 4 x 12 mm socket head cap screw through the top of the mount and into the receiver. The 10 -32 x ½ set screw goes through the top of the mount and is tightened against the receiver. Re tighten all screws.
