Installation instructions for the BUDAPEST MAUSER M95 SCOUT MOUNT

Remove the rear sight by pushing the pin out. Push down on the flip-up sight & slide rearward. Remove the spring. Slide the special nut into the grove at the rear of the sight. Place the mount into the rear sight with the bottom hole over the special nut and the (2) side holes to the front of the gun.

Put the 10-32 x ¾ flathead screw through the mount and into the special nut. (Do not tighten at this time)  Line the 6-32 tapped holes (in side of the mount) up with the holes in the side of the receiver. It is very important that these holes line up to keep from damaging the threads when the screws are installed.

Insert the (2) 6-32 x 5/16 socket head cap screws through the hole the pin was in and into the mount. Lightly tighten the (2) 6-32 screws. Tighten down the 10-32 x ¾ flathead screw and then the (2) 6-32 x 5/16 socket head cap screws. You don’t need to get the (2) 6-32 screws very tight!

Insert the 10–32 x ½ set screw into the front top hole & snug down. Insert the 10–32 x 3/8 set screw into the rear top hold & snug down. Re-tighten the 10-32 x ½ set screws. After you have tightened the 10-32 set screws – Do not try to tighten or loosen the 6-32 side screws as the top set screws hold pressure on the 6-32 screws.

Mount the scope & determine how much the rear of the scope needs raised. Remove the scope, loosen the 10-32 flat head screw & tighten the rear 10-32 set screw to raise the rear of the scope to the correct height. Retighten the 10-32 flat head screw. Repeat this procedure until the scope is sighted in.
