The Magpul PRS2 (Precision Rifle/Sniper) - FAL model is a drop-in, precision-adjusting butt stock especially designed for the HK G3/91 rifle and variants.

Designed to offer the fine-tuned, customized feel of a precision target stock, the PRS2 is adjustable for both cheek riser height and LOP without sacrificing the durability necessary to withstand the operational environment.

The PRS2 has similar minimum LOP compared to common plastic fixed stocks, but it can extend 1.25” longer. Machined aluminum adjustment knobs feature positive-locking click detents to maintain position under recoil and allows easy, tool-less adjustments by rotating the knobs.

Machined aluminum butt-plate and alloy steel adjustment shafts provide stability and strength to withstand severe impact conditions. Rubber butt-pad offers positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage for optimal accuracy even with body armor. Stronger and heavier than most OEM stocks, the PRS2 also adds beneficial weight to the rear of normally nose-heavy FN FAL rifles.

Note: The PRS2 fits any METRIC lower trigger frame with standard spring guide tube. Installs with screws from standard buttstock (not included).

Will not fit INCH or PARA lowers. A FAL-type buttstock removal tool is recommended for easy installation.

PRS2 FN FAL Stock Install Instructions

WARNING: Before starting, make sure weapon is unloaded, the chamber is empty, and the safety engaged.

Step 1: Stock Removal

First, confirm the FAL-type interface has been included. Contact Magpul for a replacement stock if it is not the FAL-type interface.

Step 2: PRS Mounting

The PRS2 utilizes several pieces from the OEM stock. Remove original stock per armory guidelines and disassemble. Confirm that the following parts are present: Spring Plug, Return Spring Assembly.

Step 3: Fit Interface

Remove Butt-pad. Using a 1/8” Hex Key, unscrew Buttplate Mounting Screw (1/2” Flathead Screw) and set aside. Remove Buttplate Assembly.

Step 4: Install Buffer

Slide PRS2 Stock over receiver extension. Using FN FAL Stock Removal Tool, reinstall Return Spring and Spring Plug and tighten to armory specifications.

Step 5: Mount PRS2 Stock Body

Mount Cover Plate in right-side slot on FAL Interface, and feed 1-1/8” Button Head Cap Screws through holes. Mount Quick Release Plate in left-side slot, making sure side with smaller diameter hole is facing out. Tighten screws using 1/8” Hex Key. Parts may be reversed for left-handed users.

Step 6: Install QD Sling Mount

Using adjustment knob, extend Butt-Plate Shaft to maximum length. Using 1/8” Hex Key, reinstall Buttplate using ½” Flathead Screw. Fit Rubber Butt-Pad to Buttplate making sure it is fully seated.

Note: Top end of Rubber Butt-Pad is round, bottom end is flat. Reinstall screws with washers and hand tighten.

Step 7: Shift Cheek Piece

The OEM Lower Tang Screw is not required but may be used with the PRS2. Using a 1/8” drill bit, drill a hole in the bottom of the FAL Interface using the FAL Lower Receiver hole as a guide. Reinstall screw.

Note: The screw will form its own threads during first installation and will require additional force.
