KA-BAR teamed up with Mike Snody, custom knife maker, to produce factory knives that honor the looks and finish of Mike’s custom-made pieces. The Boss is a classic Snody knife, easily recognized by his fans. The factory version has been decked out with premium S35VN steel and lots of accessories. Each knife comes with two sets of textured handles. A Blue “Reptile” version is mounted to the knife and a Purple “Dolla Holla” version highlights Snody’ s stylized “S” logo and is included.

The Snody Boss includes a high-grade, heavy-weight, semi-production JRE sheath with grommet holes for lashing in any carry configuration.  Also included is a custom designed Schmuckatelli Co. bead, and a high-quality leather sheath.

S35VN Stainless Steel improves the toughness of the knife, increasing its ability to resist chips, cracks, and impact damage. It also makes them able to stand up to long-term use without diminished quality.

Zytel is used for several different high strength, abrasion, and impact resistant thermoplastic polyamide formulations of the family more commonly known as nylon. It is used for folding knife handles because of its stiffness, strength, heat resistance, and chemical resistance.
