In extreme close quarters encounters where a suspect is attempting to take an officer's handgun, or an officer cannot access his handgun, the TDI knife is available as a "last option" knife. When worn on the pant belt the entire unit - knife and sheath - is well concealed.

The TDI features a non-reflective black powder coated blade and a textured Zytel handle. Includes the Metal Belt Clip for TDI Knives that fits maximum belt height of 1.75" Width of 1.25" and Thickness of .25" Black powder coated stainless steel construction with glass-filled nylon hard friction sheath.

Designed by John Benner, owner of Tactical Defense Institute as a "last option" knife that draws like a pistol, the reversible hard plastic friction sheath can be worn on either the right or left side.

AUS-8A is a stainless steel with a relatively low carbon content, making it rust resistant and easy to sharpen.
