Buffer Technologies recoil buffers are used to reduce parts wear and recoil of your firearms. This polyrethane recoil buffer prevents the metal-on-metal contact of the slide or breech block with the frame. Made from a high density polyurethane formulated for maximun shock-absorbing characteristics, the recoil buffer is a drop-in part. The buffer will not be damaged by oils or solvents.
The AR-15 Recoil Buffer will reduce recoil impulse and prolong the service life of your firearm. This is accomplished by stopping the bolt from directly contacting the receiver. This abrupt transfer of energy can affect zero on scoped rifles.
Installation is a breeze; drill, screwdriver, and push pin are required for assembly.

Installation instructions for AR15/M16 recoil buffer
1. Make sure firearm is unloaded.
2. Open action and remove recoil from buffer tube in stock.
3. Place buffer assembly in padded vise and drive roll pin holding existing buffer in place, out with punch. Remove old recoil buffer from buffer assembly. Replace with new recoil buffer.
4. With nre recoil buffer in place drill a hole into the new buffer from each side of the buffer assembly, using existing holes in buffer assembly as template. Reinsert pin into the recoil buffer/buffer assembly.
5. Reinsert buffer assembly into buffer tube and reassemble rifle.
